Dispatcher / Service Manager
The dispatcher manages service orders created in the ERP system based on a phone call or email, created by the customer in a portal, and by one or more sensors imbedded in the machine. Depending on the source of the service job, the Dispatcher will enrich the job information with estimates on duration, service kits, consumables, and in some instances the location.
ExpandIT Planning Assist uses available information like skills, van inventory and geographical location to suggest the best possible service technician for a given job.
When the service technician completes the job the Dispatcher/Service Manager can review and approve the registrations before they are posted in the ERP and payroll systems. If the job is performed by a subcontractor the approved registrations can be used to create a purchase order.
